During my time at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I received a BFA in installation art, I spent a year and a half sculpting hundreds of human organs and packaged them as a brand in order to challenge the boundaries of consumerism. This series led to an exclusive invitation to participate in a juried exhibition show, a rare opportunity for an undergraduate.

Upon graduating I moved to NYC where I did stain-glass commissions and apprenticed at a glassblowing studio making vases for Tiffany Co. My path took a turn towards advertising on Madison Ave., serving as an Art Director at Y&R. Successes included—a Super Bowl spot, recognition at Cannes, and casting Chuck Norris alongside rodeo clowns in a bizarre commercial for Dr Pepper. However, the stress took a physical toll, prompting the decision to start a new chapter in Chicago.

In Chicago, life was a balance between running the Chicago Portfolio School during the day and conducting a social experiment by night, embarking on an ambitious project of making a new friend every day for a year. This journey culminated in a gallery show—turning these newfound friendships into art—and was encapsulated in a TEDx talk.

I went rogue, moved into an artist co-op, and devoted a year to developing custom software to "art direct" GPS data, transforming the collective movement of a community into a work of art. I also hosted 'Life is Art,' a monthly variety show, that highlighted the eccentric talents of the Chicago Burning Man scene.

A dream job brought me to LA, where I launched 72U, a talent and creative incubator within 72andSunny, a creative agency on the rise. The program acted as a beacon for top-tier talent from every corner of the globe. The participant’s outputs reflected culture and engaged the community; a 40’ mural on the CNN building in Hollywood referencing facial recognition software, a collaboration with Interscope Records to redefine the live music experience which led to BØRNS’ EP going platinum, and my team receiving our own platinum album in honor of our contribution, and designing an adaptive park in Venice to support community events. The work my team produced made the program a viral hit with a 3% acceptance rate and invitations to speak all over the world about creative practice and collaboration including the Cannes Lion Festival of Creativity and giving the commencement speech at CENTRO de Diseño Cine y Televisión, Mexico City’s top design university.

While diverse artistic expressions have been a career mainstay, the most rewarding aspect has been influencing over 700 individuals by coaching and connecting creative talents with fulfilling career paths.

I call LA home and serve on the board of the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council. My time and attention have shifted to fiber arts and making kinetic sculptures for my own personal practice. Simultaneously, I'm delving into the promising realm of Neuroarts, exploring art's profound impact on health and well-being.
